Roobios Royale

IMG_20141113_165642_resized Roobios Tea, or Red Bush Tea, native only to Western Cape Province of South Africa, is an easy tea to love. Chances are that if you have tried Roobios it has made your favorite list as a Tea enthusiast. It has a wonderful almost nutty flavor and an incredible red colour. Although it is known as a tea, it actually does not come from the tea-plant, but a plant that is part of the legume family.

 

 

Roobios and Health

For starters, roobios is caffeine free and will not elevate blood pressure. If drank before bed, it is known to induce a natural calm and relaxation that benefits a restful sleep. Roobios tea also has a very high mineral content and is helpful in preventing heart disease and increasing liver function.

Roobios tea is also known to help many digestive disorders from acid reflux, indigestion, diarrhea, to easing symptoms of colitis. It can also be given to children and infants with stomach problems or colic.
