Jolie Jasmine

IMG_0838 Hello tea lovers! In this post I want to tell you about yet another of my favorite tea, Jasmine Green Tea. I love everything about this tea from the look, the amazing floral scent, to of course the amazing taste. I love this tea so much in fact, my daughters middle name is Jasmine.

Jasmine Tea is made by infusing the scent or adding the dry petals of the Jasmine flower to green, white or even black tea. It has the same benefits as this other tea, but has some unique benefits of its own.

Jasmine Tea is a very popular drink in Okinawa. This is where most of the longest living people in the world reside! Jasmine tea is one of the daily lifestyle choices they feel help with their longevity.

This beau-tea-ful tea has also been known to help skin, especially acne prone skin. While drinking Jasmine will help heal and purify skin from the inside, using strongly brewed fresh Jasmine tea as a facial toner has been known to help heal acne in a natural way that will not cause further inflammation or dryness.

Finally, I would like to let you know how I drink my Jasmine. I find that although this tea smells heavenly, it is quite strong in flavour – especially the variety with dried petals. I mix mine with another green tea, only steep for about 3 minutes, and add honey, which I find really compliments the taste.

I do not think you will be disappointed if you give Jasmine tea a try!
